Pablita "Pabla" Talavera de Quezada created this lovely jar almost 20 years ago and it is still one of our favorites. It isn’t large, but the combination of shape and line work, using the three black colored procedure, is gorgeous. There are few today who understand this three black technique, first discovered by Lydia Quezada, Pabla’s mother, around 1998. Lydia still refers to this technique as a “secret.”
Purchased from Pabla in May of 2005, when she and her mother, Lydia, were traveling north to Phoenix to visit relatives.
10-1/2" tall, 9" diameter. Signed.
